Rally Argentina ended with first Jurek Bogdanowicz win this season and first points to his account. In total 44 participants reached the finish line of 6th Open RBR-LT WRC 2019 event from 60 started. This time we had drivers form 14 different nations and only 22 who reached the finish without Super Rally rule.
Although the SS1 results were canceled due to incorrect stage route the top positions hasn't changed and Jurek managed to take his first points with a first victory. Despite having over minute and a half lead over Tomek Wach, he drove the fastest in last day too by winning all three stages. This means Jurek also grabs 5 more points at Power Stages and takes the maximum from Rally Argentina. 2nd in the Power Stage and in overall is Tome Wach. It's his second race with WRC car and second podium. Tomek lost almost 2min to his countryman after three days of rallying. And the 3rd place is held by Alex Karkach who was more cautious in last stages and didn't take additional points from Power Stage as well as he didn't caught Tomek and lost him just 9sec.
WRC 2 leader Jan Gais also didn't take any risk and saved his first place with a 34sec lead against Hasse Onkamo. For Jan it was a 3rd start in Open RBR-LT WRC and a 3rd podium finish, but this time it's the most special. Slovakian had 3rd place, then 2nd and now a victory. Meanwhile Hasse drove really fast the last days and managed to cut quite much time from Jan and also got back his 2nd place over Michal Szparski who dropped even to 4th place after SS1 results were canceled and Kirill Kolomiets jumped to 3rd place. All these drivers got their positions in overall top 10 from 7th to 10th positions.
Oscar Estévez was in clear way of winning a 6th event in a row in WRC 3 classification and he did it. This time without a finish in top 10 of overall classification but again winning the last stages and increasing his lead with another minute to total of 3 minutes against Remus Diaconescu. Romanian showed very similar times to Rafal Majka on the last day so he kept his 2nd place with 1 minute gap against Pole.
In Rally Argentina we had first such a big decision to make in this Open RBR-LT WRC season. We sincerely hope that no such situations will occur in future and we will try to make it not happen. And now we are waiting for the results of Rally Islas Canarias. The event is already going and due some technical issues no enroll is needed this time so just type in the password and go!
