As new Open RBR-LT WRC 2020 season starts just in two weeks, with a legendary Rallye Monte-Carlo, competitors are finally allowed to register for a new season. While regulations are still in progress we can walk through the main changes in 2020.
Open RBR-LT WRC championship are back to it's origins and will be made only of WRC events. Last season we were experimenting by combining WRC and ERC events and we had an extraordinary season. But this year we decided to get back to old roots and 2020 season will have 14 events (all events are listed at the bottom).
Next big change is championship classifications. This year competitors will have to choose just from three different categories: WRC cars for WRC, R5 for WRC 2 and R2 for JUNIOR WRC. Of course we are also moving to new generation NGP 6 physics so cars list will be expanding as we will get new models. We are also planing to make an manufacturers classification, but at the moment teams registration is not allowed while there is no clear statement on teams classifications.
